Talent & Student Relations Specialist

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is hiring a Talent & Student Relations Specialist to join our People Experience (HR) Department. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to attend after hour events occasionally.

Location: the position works remotely but will need to attend school events and career fairs as needed. 

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with the flexibility to attend after hour events occasionally. 

Salary: position starts at $55,000 annually with room for negotiation. 

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with schools and universities to offer internships, rotation programs, and other learning experiences to increase candidate pools in high turnover and competitive job markets.
  • Network with faculty and administrators and market student participation through classroom forums, job fairs, and careers web-site.
  • Coordinates placement of students/interns within SB&H programs by forecasting and working closely with program leaders.
  • Develops relationships with students/interns and provides education on SB&H careers and growth opportunities. Works closely with Talent Advisors and hiring managers upon completion of internship to explore employment options and aid student in transition to a permanent position.
  • Assists with moving students and interns through the hire process as needed.
  • Coordinates and attend recruiting events including job fairs/career fairs, conferences, college fairs and community networking sessions as needed.
  • Oversee and manage the Nurse Corp Student loan repayment program, NHSC loan repayment program and State loan repayment program including site recertification, processing verifications and managing all employee coordination, prepare for site visit.
  • Contribute to Recruitment Team initiatives including consistently exploring new and innovative approaches that improve SB&H’s employment brand, client service delivery, and quality of hire.
  • Cross training within Recruitment team to provide support in hiring and onboarding when needed.
  • Completes onboarding process for Vocational Trainees and Students/Interns.
  • Follows supervisor recommendations as well as exercising independent problem solving.
  • Monitors and responds to emails in SB&H career email.
  • Completes 30-day and 90-day new employee survey.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two to Three years’ experience in student placements, recruiting, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Experience working within a healthcare, nonprofit, or behavioral health industry strongly preferred.
