Job Description
Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SBH) welcomes both on-campus and online students to join a prominent provider in Integrated Behavioral Health Services. This is your opportunity to embark on a learning experience at one of our various locations statewide. SBH offers unpaid internship opportunities for individuals whose degree program requires an internship throughout the spring, summer, and fall terms. Guided by our licensed professionals you will gain and cultivate skills and knowledge in a multidisciplinary setting. This invaluable hands-on experience will empower you to become an effective contributor within your community and workplace.

Learning Experience:
- Provide crisis intervention
- Participate in therapy & skill groups
- Perform documentation of services
- Provide case management services
- Perform assessments & treatment plans
- Serve as an active member of your clinical team
- Participate in actives related to your education plan
- Participate in Counseling Services (for graduate students only)
- All duties performed under direct supervision

Requirements and Expectations:
Degree program must require an internship and qualify for credit hours.
Be currently attending or enrolled in an approved college or university.
- Adhere to agency work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional behavior
- Student is expected to self-manage school requirements.
- Adhere to work at the direction of their SBH supervisor.
- Some interns must be able to attend SBH required trainings (trainings are 1-2 weeks; during normal business hours)
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age (some require at least 21 years of age)
- Pass a Drug test and other onboarding requirements
- Must have or obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card (not paid my SBH)
- Physical and TB test may be required at some locations
