  We are now offering a sign-on bonus of $1500 upon hire. Eligible for $1,000 after your first 30 days and $500 eligible to be received after 6months.                        

Job Preview at a Glance:

Assist SBH to increase community living skills of persons in services and participation in daily activities as well as community support in maintaining healthy living. Provides leadership and oversight to empowerment center staff, role models service delivery to consumers and overall operation of the assigned site.  Design and implement the SBH vocational services throughout the Division. Create, revise, disseminate information and train personnel on vocational policies and procedures in response to mandates, standards and to comply with funding source mandates.  Recruit, hire and train vocational personnel in all division locations in order to deliver vocational activities. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with local employers and community providers to maximize the opportunities for persons in services to enter the labor force.

Location & Schedule:

This position is a Monday- Friday schedule, flexibility to work during clinic operating hours, reporting to our Payson Outpatient Clinic.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists designated clinical personnel in completing specified clinical/support activities.
  • Assists in advocacy efforts on behalf of persons served.
  • Develops schedules and ensures staff coverage for group activities for persons in services per site-specific instructions.
  • Provides supervision/mentoring/support to empowerment center staff.
  • Provides education and support to family members.
  • Assists persons in services with community integration and wellness planning/maintenance.
  • Plans and organizes activities within the outpatient clinic structure.
  • Participates in clinical staff meetings.
  • Completes daily paperwork requirements, including assigned clinical record documentation.
  • Ensures that empowerment center staff complete and retain current certificates in required training topics, including, but not limited to: CPR, First Aid, TB, Recovery Practices and Principles, Crisis Intervention, Peer Support Services and all required trainings.
  • Assists in crisis intervention efforts as directed by supervisor.
  • Participates in at least weekly clinical supervision in accordance with ADBHS requirements.
  • Develops group content, maintains the schedules and assignments of staff/consumers to groups, and the training/monitoring of peers in group facilitation skills.
  • Researches both agency and local resources for new approaches and innovations in meeting consumer needs within the community and assist supervisor with new program development.
  • Assists supervisor in expansion of community networking and building of community connections/partnerships.
  • Monitors peer/consumer interactions an assist supervisor in identifying inconsistencies in service delivery and work to create a recovery-based environment.
  • Assumes responsibility for empowerment center staff, peers, and consumers well-being and take a lead role in crisis intervention as needed.
  • Attends additional SBH trainings and local seminars to develop leadership skills as the Senior Team Lead.
  • Assists the program director with administrative and clinical projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Facilitates the Peer and Family Advisory Council which includes scheduling meetings, taking minutes and providing any necessary updates to leadership and the RBHA.
  • Oversees the implementation and fidelity of the supported employment program to support the vocational rehabilitation of persons in services.
  • Provides services in accordance with SAMSHA’s principles of Supported Employment.
  • Works closely with the Program Director and Vice President to ensure that program content meets contractual requirements, meets the needs of persons served, and complies with SBH policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with Human Resources and the Program Director to proofed guidance, oversight and direction regarding hiring of empowerment center personnel.
  • Develops treatment plans for consumers in conjunction with the clinical team and according to SBH clinical standards; provide assessments and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Documents services provided according to SBH standards on a daily basis. Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Prepares written reports as required by finding source(s) and SBH management.
  • Participates in agency-wide standing and ad hoc committees, as requested
  • To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and/or department.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent in a social/behavioral science plus a minimum of two-years’ experience working with co-occurring disorders and 1 year of supervision experience.
  • Experience with substance abuse, seriously mentally ill, and/or general mental health preferred.
  • Experience as a lead/supervisor also a plus.
