AZ - Kingman - Kingman Crisis Unit

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to be apart of our Court Ordered Treatment Program in Kingman, AZ.  The majority of the population served is adults within our Court Ordered Treatment program and will also be expected to see clients in our general mental health outpatient and crisis inpatient unit programs.   

Tele-med options available!!!  Starting salary, DOE.  This position offers a flexible schedule (Monday - Friday)! 

Under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, this position has primary responsibility for the medical and psychiatric functions providing treatment to adults in an outpatient and inpatient clinical setting. This includes court ordered evaluations, testifying in court hearings, engagement, comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, family meetings, supportive psychotherapy, patient education, risk assessment, and discharge planning.  Works with the community to review involuntary petitions, assess involuntary patients, and coordinate with the legal system to follow established guidelines for Court Ordered Evaluation and Treatment.  Maintains expected level of productivity goals.  Maintains appropriate medical chart management and documentation with particular emphasis on PCP coordination of care, laboratory, and vitals compliance standards.  Collaborate with Program Director and/or VP in delivering program specific services. Provide opportunities for clinical case staffings to site staff as needed.  Is directly responsible to and supervised by the Chief Medical Officer for all clinical issues and to the Program Director and/or VP for all administrative issues.


  • Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Must be expected to obtain Board Certification within 3 years of hire date.
  • Experience in the delivery of mental health treatment of adults and children/adolescents. 
  • Possession of a current DEA certificate and medical license to practice medicine in the State of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain an AZ license).
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment, planning and utilization of psychotropic medications in accordance with State and Federal regulations and best practices.
