We are currently seeking an Adult Psych Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health Observation/Stabilization & Inpatient Unit in Kingman, AZ in a Full-Time position.  

 Flexibility in schedule may be offered depending the program needs/requirements

The crisis unit provides health interventions in a structured, non-hospital setting that assists adults in resolving crises.  The program offers a 10 bed capacity and 6 observation chair capacity.  Services are provided in a secured facility with a 24-hour nursing coverage on the premises.  Length of stay is optimally 5-7 days.   

You will be responsible for performing basic screening, diagnostic treatment, rehabilitative and supportive services as a member of a primary and psychiatric health care team. Provide quality medical and psychiatric care for patients. Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services, as delegated by a physician. Working as members of the healthcare team, take medical histories, conduct physicals, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests, make diagnoses, and prescribe medications.  Overnight on-call is required.

Psych NP Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practicioner program with Psychiatric Mental Health Certification through the ANCC is required.
  • One of more years’ experience in the delivery of mental health treatment of children/adolescents/adults preferred.
  • Licensed by the State of Arizona; valid DEA certificate required.
  • Must be credentialed/privileged with the RBHA and local medical facilities as determined by contractual requirements.
