Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is a large and growing, non-profit community-based provider of behavioral health services with locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, rural Maricopa County, Gila, Pinal, Mohave, Coconino, and Yavapai Counties. We are seeking a Program Supervisor for our School-Based & Community-based program. 

Job Preview at a Glance:

The Program Supervisor provides supervision and oversight to staff services regarding behavioral health prevention for children, adults, families, or local communities within the school-based program. This staff member also provides direct care to members experiencing behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and strengths-based clinical supervision to program staff through weekly individual supervision meetings or weekly group staff meetings.
  • Conduct performance reviews as needed and complete annual performance evaluations.
  • Recruit, Interview, onboard, train and supervise staff, interns and volunteers for the program.
  • Perform routine and timely chart audits for each therapist and ensure timely chart closures.
  • Track therapist outcomes and production and review regularly.
  • Act as a liaison between program staff and funding/referral sources.
  • Maintain positive working relationship with referral sources (i.e. school administrators, districts) and collaborate and coordinate frequently with identified stakeholders.
  •  Perform networking and marketing functions to build program areas and program revenues.
  • Provide clinical staffing with case manager, therapist and Psychiatrist as needed.
  • Provides clinical supervision for SBH staff needing direct hours for licensure as outlined by AZBBHE.
  • Performs intakes and psychosocial assessments of families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Conducts ongoing therapy with families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults (individually and in-group as therapeutically indicated) within a brief therapy framework.
  • Coordinates closely with clinical staff and staff from other providers.
  • Provides community consultation and education to community agencies, schools, neighborhood groups, and other community human service professionals.

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum requirement consists of a 21-year age.
      • Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field (psychology, social work, and education), at least two years direct experience or its equivalent.
      • Current AZBBHE license at the independent level required.  
      • Must have working knowledge of diagnostic clinical skills involving current Diagnostic Statistical Manual for co-occurring disorders.
      • Must have fingerprint clearance issued by Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire (for sites serving children).
