We are seeking a Program Director for our Recovery Transition Program!
The Recovery Transition Program provides behavioral health interventions in a structured, non-hospital setting that assists adults in resolving behavioral crisis. Services are provided in a locked facility with 24-hour nursing coverage on the premises, court ordered treatment is also provided.
Working as a Program Director, you will plan, organize, develop and ensure the administration of the activities provided on the units. These programs serve referred residents in a specific area that are requesting assistance with emotional or behavioral problems. You will be responsible for contributing to and creating a recovery based environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervises program planning and evaluation to provide rehabilitative services.
- Monitors and directs clinical procedures, such as intakes, assessments, record keeping, program hours, training needs, staffing patterns and service delivery.
- Assists VP in writing grant applications/proposals to request additional/new funding for programs.
- Provides supervisor with information, data and other additional or new funding for programs.
- Provides supervisor with information, data and other assistance to achieve organizational goals.
- Conducts and participates in meetings and committees, such as: staff, clinical, facility supervision, administrative, training, organizational, inter-agency, and organizational representation.
- Implements and monitors budgets in cooperation with the VP.
- Identifies changes to and develops program specific policies and procedures.
- Directly supervises program coordinators and job instructors.
- Initiates licensing applications, supervises licensing surveys, and provides responses to licensing deficiency reports for the various programs.
- Interacts with clients and staff within the programs on a regular basis and provides direct services on occasion.
- Works in conjunction and coordinates program functions with other Directors within Crisis and Opioid Services.
- Conducts regularly scheduled administrative meeting with program coordinator(s).
- Maintains liaison with outside agencies by providing consultation where requested and having them participate in staff meeting when appropriate.
- Represents the Center in various community agency meetings.
- Develops policy and procedures for program administration.
Education & Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement consists of a 21-year age
- A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, counseling or social work, plus three years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires a licensure with AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners or AZ Psychologist Examiners.
- Clinical and managerial experience preferred.
