Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is hiring a Lead Behavior Technician to join our Southwest Autism Center of Excellence program. This role will assist with overseeing two community living sites that serve the Autism population.

Location: Both sites are close to central Phoenix!

Salary: $22 to $25 per hour depending on experience, with full benefits

Schedule: Monday- Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm with the added requirement to be available to work flexible days, evenings, and/or weekends as needed

About the Position

This role will serve as a senior team member, working closely with the program coordinator to oversee all functions necessary to operate assigned programs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the growth and management of the program.
  • Providing leadership and development for staff.
  • Providing supervision, demonstrative tasks, coordination of care, and scheduling.

You will be responsible for 50% oversight and program management, ensuring that the program meets the required qualitative and quantitative outcomes, complies with policies and procedures, and collaborates with other staff members and coordinators. Additionally, you will provide 50% billable direct service hours in a lead clinical role and contribute to creating a recovery-based environment. You will need to carry a Smartphone and be on call as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the PC to develop and implement a sound clinical program based on program need and outcomes, current contemporary/evidence-based treatment models, and implement individual treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Responsible to assist with supervising staff and coordinate all administrative, management, and billable direct services program functions.
  • Ensures assigned sites are running smoothly and progressing according to needs and goals
  • Assists to develop written administrative program protocols.
  • Assists in coordination of scheduling and staff work assignments on a daily basis
  • Acts as a lead staff; Implements, records and summarizes data, for prescribed client’s individualized treatment and behavior protocols.
  • Performs and models responsible direct service provision including individual, group, life skills training, behavior management, and crisis intervention treatment under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Coordinates the intake process and completes initial assessments upon intake
  • Completes and supervises staff with clinical annual assessment updates, service planning, coordination of care, and monthly staffing summaries.
  • Functions as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to implement treatment plans, assessment criteria, programmatic goals, objectives and activities
  • Works with internal functions of centralizing processing and interacts responsibly with internal departments
  • Participates in Peer Review process and consults with supervisors and peers to improve service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement consists of a 21-year age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience with children and adults with development disabilities.
  • Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) Certification strongly preferred. We offer support to obtain RBT certificate and supervision.
  • Required to maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and pass motor vehicle screening for insurance purposes in order to transport clients, based upon need/requirements of the clinic and/or program.
  • Must be eligible and/or have a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
