We are seeking for a Front Office Representative / Medical Assistant for our Outpatient Clinic located off of 7th Ave and Buckeye Rd in Phoenix!
Schedule for the position is Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm and Wednesday & Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm
Will work in a collaborative team environment assisting with the coordination of all center operations, case management services, and communication of community resources. Will work with the medical provider to take vital signs, work on prior authorizations for medications and address requests for medication refill/issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains medication records in accordance with state regulations, indications, and resources
- Works with Prescriber staff in monitoring of medications, changes of medication orders, refills and authorizations
- Obtains client vitals
- Informs clients of the need for random drug testing and collect specimens from clients as needed including drawing blood for laboratory testing
- Obtains EKG as ordered
- Works with Clinical Supervisor to ensure the Unit meets standards
- Documents attendance and client activity in charts per SBH/ADHS standards
- Documents client vitals in record
- Assists in SBH chart audit process
- Consults with Prescriber/Psychiatrist as necessary regarding the administration of medications, monitoring of medications, and changing of medication orders
- Assists in coordination of care for consumers
- Participates in clinical case staffings as required
- Documents client activity, including oral swab screening
- Enters and retrieves consumer data from HMS system accurately
- Maintains inventory of office and program supplies
- Completes general office filing duties
- Support staff with consumer intake and discharge process, special projects, along with staff meetings as needed
- Various front office administration duties required as needed by program
Education & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program required. Certified Medical Assistant highly preferred.
- One - Two years of experience in a behavioral and/or clinical setting required.
- Experience in a community-based psychiatric practice and/or methadone program preferred
- Spanish speaking preferred
