We are currently seeking a Finance Director for our Administration Building in Phoenix!

The Finance Director supervises the Finance Department, providing information, primarily financial and accounting in nature, about all SBH activities that will assist Executive Management, Board of Directors and other users in making educated economic decisions about the operations and future of SBH

  • Maintains and monitors an automated financial management and accounting system which:

  • Provides the Board of Directors and Executive Management and other management with accurate and dependable financial information for financial reporting, analysis, planning and control.

  • Complies with GAAP as well as governmental regulatory requirements.

  • Safeguards the company’s assets by maintaining proper internal controls.

  • Ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions.

  • Recovers all possible revenues.

  • Trains all staff in using financial information.

  • The accounting system includes such functions as accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable/collection, fixed asset reporting, financial reporting and analysis and cash management.

  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures

  • Monitors, improves, and performs the company’s cost accounting functions.

  • Conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner.

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Education and Requirements:

  • Effective performance of the position's duties requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, financial or related field plus a minimum of five (5) years directly-related experience in accounting and finance, preferable in the healthcare field.

  • CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Supervisory experience managing the accounting functions in a large-size company required.

  • Good academic and working knowledge of GAAP, as well as accounting systems, policies, and procedures related to the healthcare industry

  • Works directly with the bank and other investment brokers and lenders to establish and maintain a positive working relationship.
