We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join our Round Valley Residential site in Payson! This is a PRN (as needed) position with no benefits. Schedule varies based on need and availability.
This position will assist staff to provide skills training, case management, group facilitation and co-leadership, and non-clinical interventions for consumers. Provides hope and inspiration to adults with substance-abuse and other issues. Assists consumers with the development of living skills, external support systems, and linkages with community resources. Responsible for contributing to and creating a recovery based environment.
Provide screening, assessment, treatment planning, life skills, pre-vocational training, related documentation, case management, crisis intervention, individual and/or group counseling services to consumers.
Responsible for contributing to and creating an independent living based environment.
Performs direct service to residential consumers including individual, group, life skills training, behavior management, and crisis intervention.
Provides direct services that are guided by an individual treatment plan for consumers in conjunction with psychiatrist and/or case managers according to SB&H clinical standards.
Attend and participate in in-service training sessions and related training opportunities as made available.
Provide assessments and crisis intervention.
Documents services provided according to SB&H standards on a daily basis. Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Will be expected to accompany, supervise and assist consumers when asked to do so.
Plans and organizes activities.
May need to cover evening/weekend hours and be “on-call” as needed.
Assist consumers with community integration.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Minimum requirement consists of a 21-year age
A High School Diploma/GED and two years of relevant experience in a behavioral/integrated health setting; OR
An Associate’s degree and six weeks of relevant experience in a behavioral/integrated health setting; OR
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR a non related Bachelor's degree with 6 months behavioral/integrated health experience.
Required to maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and pass motor vehicle screening for insurance purposes in order to transport clients, based upon need/requirements of the clinic and/or program.
Required to maintain personal auto insurance per SB&H guidelines.
Residential experience, Knowledge of psychotropic medications.
Experience working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking preferred.
Must be eligible and/or have a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (as required per program requirements)
