Position Location: Prescott Valley, AZ
Position: Behavioral Health Professional Independent Level
Job Duties:
- Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health.
- Complete intake and referrals.
- Provide individual and group counseling with adults in outpatient setting and with kids in the school and in the outpatient clinic.
- Support students and school administration with education as well as students behavioral health needs.
- Complete regular reports of services provided.
- Attend IEP/504 meetings with team to support student success.
- Plan and provide summer program for school age children from designated caseload and kids receiving outpatient services but always based on clinical necessity.
- Provide clinical supervision to agency staff, train them to develop their clinical skills and documentation skills, help them with tough cases, as well as help with personal and professional growth.
- Assist new employees in adapting to Southwest Behavioral Health Services procedures, electronic medical records system and clinical skills.
- Travel: Daily travel between the school, clinic, home visits and for home or community based appointments.
Salary: Available upon request
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week (Hours Vary)
Job Requirements
Education Requirements: U.S. Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology or closely related
Experience Requirements: 6 months of part-time (min 20 hours per week) experience in job offered, Clinical Intern or counseling
Special skills requirements:
- Experience providing individual and group counseling in schools for children ages 12-21
- Experience providing counseling for addictions with addictions and mental health concerns
- Must have or be able to be licensed as a “Licensed Professional Counselor” from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners after being hired
- Must have fingerprint clearance issued by Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire
