Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is seeking a Lead Therapist to join our Community Resilience Center! Our Lead Therapist goal is to assists’ persons to be participants in their chosen communities in the fullest manner possible. Schedule/Location:

This position works Monday-Friday, 8-5. SB&H Community Resilience Center is located off of 27th ave. and Campbell.

Pay:

Starting salary is $60,000 per year

Ideal Candidate

Our Ideal Candidate will have experience working with limited resource population. Have flexibility with schedule changes. Be friendly, empathetic and an adept communicator. Good academic and working knowledge of DSM IV, State SMI check list, Community Resources, Psychotropic Medications, Crisis Intervention, Clinical Methods and Procedures, Intervention Techniques and ability to apply same to possibly unstable, treatment resistant/adolescent/child of various ethnic cultures for co-occurring disorders (GMH/SA/SMI).

About the Position

The Lead Therapist is responsible for providing timely, evidence-based clinical and non-clinical support services to adults, children and adolescents, including screening, assessment, treatment planning, individual, family, couples and group counseling, case management and crisis intervention. All services are guided by the Jason K. Principles and delivered according to guidelines set forth by the RBHA and ADHS.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Has oversight of the CRC SMI Felony Diversion program; required to obtain specialized training.
  • Provides clinical supervision for the CRC department in general as needed.
  • Participates in the development of Criminogenic treatment program and service delivery
  • Develops and implements treatment plans, clinical assessment criteria, and programmatic goals, objectives, and activities.
  • Performs intakes and psychosocial assessments of families, couples, and adults (individually and in-group as therapeutically indicated) within a brief therapy framework.
  • Conducts ongoing therapy with families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults (individually and in-group as therapeutically indicated) within a brief therapy framework.
  • Conducts home visits and case consultations as needed.
  • Provides on-call crisis intervention coverage based upon the needs of the clinic. This may include coverage during normal working hours, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Performs as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team in delivery of services.
  • Educates other providers and Stakeholders regarding the program and services available as requested.
  • Coordinates closely with clinical staff and staff from other providers.
  • Actively engages in Clinical Supervision in pursuit of Independent Licensure per the SB&H Professional Development Procedure and in accordance with the AZBBHE.

Minimum Requirements 

  • Minimum requirement consists of a 21-year age
  • Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health field (Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work) and Licensed at the Associate level by the Arizona Board of Behavioral health Examiners
  • Required to maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and pass motor vehicle screening for insurance purposes in order to transport clients, based upon need/requirements of the clinic and/or program.
  • Required to maintain personal auto insurance per SBH guidelines.
  • Required to be available weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as scheduled to provide on call crisis intervention coverage (Schedule may vary based upon needs of clinic).
  • Must have fingerprint clearance issued by Arizona Department of Public Safety of eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire per program requirements.
