We are currently seeking a behavioral health counselor to join our team in Kingman, AZ.
This is an outpatient clinic serving adults with Serious Mental Illness, General Mental Health, and Substance Abuse issues. The counselors work as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement service plans, complete clinical assessments, and provide quality clinical care for each service participant using a client directed, outcome informed approach.
Additionally in this position, you will perform intakes and psychosocial assessments of clients and conduct home visits as needed and case consultations with other agencies and organizations. You will educate other providers and Stakeholders regarding the program and services available as requested.
You will coordinate closely with case managers, co-workers, and staff from other providers and provide therapy and/or clinical case management for a full caseload of clients. Services provided will be billed and documented appropriately. All clinicians are required to meet 67.5% productivity/billing each month.
Staff meetings and individual supervision meetings are required. You will attend and participate in new hire orientation and other training opportunities as made available. Support and training are available as needed.
This position requires flexibity to be available evenings, and to participate on an on-call rotation for after-hours crisis calls. The office hours are Monday-Friday 8 am to 5pm.
Minimum requirement consists of a 21-year age, Bachelorrs Degree in the Behavioral Health field (Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work) plus one (1) years of full-time behavioral health experience. Masters degree and desire to pursue licensure is preferred.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, quality internal and external customer service skills to effectively dialogue with all contract and funding sources.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
